DY677 CEP(DyLight 677 亚磷酰胺)是常用 Cy5.5 亚磷酰胺的绝佳替代品。花青亚磷酰胺(如 Cy3 和 Cy5 亚磷酰胺)是制备荧光标记寡核苷酸最常用的荧光标记试剂。然而,Cy3 和 Cy5 亚磷酰胺都不是很稳定。 DY677 CEP 似乎比 Cy5.5 亚磷酰胺更稳定。作为 Cy5.5 亚磷酰胺,可以在室温下用氢氧化铵对含有 DY677 CEP 的寡核苷酸进行脱保护,而与所用单体上的碱基保护基团无关。
