The antibody may detect other activated Erb family members.Polyclonal antibodies are produced by immunizing animals with a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to residues surrounding tyrosine 1221/1222 of human ErbB2 protein. Antibodies are purified by protein A and peptide affinity chromatography.
